Ian Massingham is a technology executive with extensive experience in cloud computing, data technology, and developer relations. He is currently with Griptape, an early stage Seattle-based startup focusing on Agentic AI and LLM application development. Prior to that Ian was the Chief Marketing Officer at Finnish-headquartered open-source data infrastructure startup, Aiven, and VP Worldwide Developer Relations at MongoDB.
Prior to 2021, Ian spent nearly eight years at AWS, joining the company in December 2013, before AWS had gained significant enterprise adoption in Europe. During his tenure at AWS, Ian held various roles in Developer Relations and Evangelism, from senior IC to worldwide executive leader for Developer Relations at AWS; later, as Global Director, Worldwide Solutions Architecture for Startups, Ian built and led an organization that helped hundreds of thousands of startups around the globe adopt AWS and optimize their usage of the world's most popular cloud computing platform.
