Ovidiu Mihalcea is an experienced backend developer specializing in search relevance and information retrieval. He has been part of the eMAG team for 11 years, being the founding developer of the Search and Listing team. He's played a significant role in the team as they've incrementally improved the platform's search experience over the years through better relevance tuning, adding machine learning algorithms and implementing distributed containerized deployments. 

He's passionate about finding the needle in the haystack, both on and off the job.
