THE MOST INFLUENTIAL ONLINE CONFERENCE FOR IT PROFESSIONALS, DEVCON LIVE 2021, HAS CONCLUDED

This year, DevCon Live 2021 was held online over two days in a virtual format. Over 5,000 people attended 57 technical sessions held in 9 conferences focusing on current technologies: Java, NET, Data, AI & Machine Learning, Web & Mobile, and Women in Tech on November 3-4.

The event generated 80,000 interactions in the Agenda area, Expo-Area, virtual stands, and also through sessions, thanks to 18 partner companies and over 60 speakers from around the world. 

Every fall, DevCon Live gathers IT professionals to discuss the latest tech trends, offer challenges from their own experiences, case studies and examples of impact projects, live coding sessions, and, in the end, provide timely answers to participants’ questions. For two days, the agenda of the event brought together guests from three continents, who collaborated to realize 30 hours of technical content covering a wide range of technologies and areas of interest. 

The event’s main sponsor for this edition was MassMutual Romania, which was present on both days of the event with technical sessions led by MassMutual and MassMutual Romania experts. Mike Makar, Head of MassMutual Romania, delivered the official opening speech on the Java Con stage on November 3. 

The event agenda received 12,875 visits from participants, with Java Con and Web & Mobile Con being the most active scenes. Over 9,500 interactions were conducted within the exhibition area.

On November 4, Lucas Adams, Head of Data Integration Platforms at MassMutual, gave a Data, AI, ML, and RPA Masterclass, and Dr. Merritt Moore spoke about her journey on the DevTalks Facebook page. to this fusion – art and technology, which will offer many successes and innovative projects for the global interest, thus promoting a discourse for the young generations of women who are investing in a career in STEM fields. 

A key point of the event this time was the Women in Tech scene, which was supported by the partner – 3Pillar Global, with 4 sessions presented by women passionate about technology, where participants learned details about the challenges and opportunities they have in the approach to building a career in IT, as well as what tools are required in personal and professional development. 

The scenes dedicated to the masterclass sessions represented an opportunity for development and learning at this edition; the event partners gave 1 hour and 30 minute technical presentations, after which the participants received relevant information about: building a successful relationship – from what processes are behind a beverages industry to the development of IT solutions; using real-time event flow to integrate various technologies into a platform, as well as how to achieve the alternative socio-technical approach – specifically, what the Data Mesh is. 

Thus, the edition’s organizers and partners collaborated to create a virtual space that was rich in interaction and diversity of activities over the course of two days. DevCon Live 2021 featured contests, quizzes, and treasure hunt activities, and the company-launched challenges provided participants with some of the most diverse prizes, including Apple AirPods Pro headphones, a Lenovo IdeaPad 2 in 1 Laptop, Smart speakers with Alexa, an Amazon Echo Dot 4 watch, and an electric scooter.
